Meadham Kirchoff collections have never been known for their lack of ingenuity and the design duo once again blurred the lines between men’s and women’s fashion with their latest A/W ’13 offering.
I wasn’t entirely sure if the vast array of rubbish filled bin bags that sat as the backdrop to the collection were intended to be some kind of analogy but for the everyday man, this collection would have been hard to swallow.
Stripped leggings, socks and sandal combinations and long blonde wigs adorning the male models heads are certainly not going to be to everyone’s taste but if you took the time to delve deeper into the collection and broke down the collective mass into individual pieces, there was a lot to take from the collection. Beautiful mustard yellow coats with intricate embellishment, high-waisted tapered trousers (a personal favourite) and long sleeve striped tees all added up for a show that anyone could take inspiration from.
