Bow Ties… Fear Them Not.

Gentlemen of the world do not be left behind! Do not miss this train. Don’t be idle as the world embraces the latest menswear revolution. It’s finally our turn to own the spotlight.  Tailors, shoe-shines, avant-garde grooming and, I dare you… Bow Ties. I know you know they’re in. And I also know that you secretly admire the fearless ones who wear them with apparent effortless casual elegance.  Think of it this way: it’s just a small piece of fabric crafted by a guy just as manly as you are. Wearing a bow tie is not the end of your masculinity; in fact, it is the opposite.  I will go as far as to say that wearing one is the ultimate sign of confidence in menswear. Having the, dare I say it, balls to wear a bow tie says to the world “look at me, I have balls!”

You expect the comments, good or bad; you embrace the good and shrug off the bad, only to notice that the less supportive comments come from those wearing khakis and sandals with socks.

Imagine yourself walking in a room where every man wears a tie. A sea of men failing to impress the women they have been pursuing all night simply because they are fashionably outsmarted by the one guy in the room that’s different – the guy wearing a bow tie. It’s that simple and it works. Just ask my wife J One piece of fabric just 4 inches by 3 inches has changed everything for me. Question is…are you ready for that responsibility to outshine, out style, and out man every other guy in the room?

Leather Bow Ties For Men

Warren St John, an established American author and reporter, once said that “wearing a bow tie is a way of broadcasting an aggressive lack of concern for what other people think” and I, my gents, concur! Unless you’ve been digging for gold in some gold mine somewhere remotely for the past year or so, you must have noticed that more and more men are sporting bow ties these days. Yes, bow ties are back. But what I think it’s really interesting about the bow tie trend is that it represents men’s movement towards a more sophisticated, classier and, most importantly, adventurous fashion style.

So because I believe St John’s interpretation of the trend I conclude that men are starting to have more fun with their fashion while showing more and more disregard for what some might think that they should wear. And that I call fashion liberation! Well done, gentlemen! Take risks, make a statement, stand tall and sharp!

Leather Bow Ties

Do you want to take it a step further, gentlemen? Then go for bold, bright patterns like Hawaiian prints, or soft, shiny fabrics such as faux leather! I love, love, love real leather! But I also love the softness of faux leather on a small garment like a bow tie. It just works and for those animal activists out there they make you look sharp while still supporting your cause.

I know what you’re thinking: what are bow ties doing in Southern California where shorts and sandals rule the cities?
