KTZ Spring Summer 2014 Collection

KTZ

This is a warning – KTZ isn’t for the faint hearted! The latest collection to come out of the ingenious minds of Creative Director Marjan Pejoksi and Head of Design Koji Maruyama stems from a concept of Arabian Nights and descends into the downright mind boggling left field avant garde.

There were many elements of this collection I loved; the rich hues of red and blue you could imagine emerging out of the vast expanse of off-white desert sands; the prints taken from maps and placed on bomber jackets told a story of ancient history ingrained with modern fashion and even the simplicity of monochrome colour-ways were brought to life thanks to the beautiful hooded capes.

On the other side of the coin were the bejewelled jackets and headwear that clinked its way down the catwalk. The exuberance of the gleaming jewels and motifs reminded me of an Egyptian clan brought into the contemporary world as a gang of hoodlums. The look certainly won’t be for everyone but if you came to LC:M looking for talking points then this collection will certainly be causing ripples amongst traditionalists and fashionistas alike.
